# Find backlinks to your website

> Look up your website in a backlink index, review retrieved links and completed checks, then choose the placements you want to monitor.

Enter your website to find existing backlinks, review the checked results and choose which links to monitor. You do not need an export or a list of publisher URLs.

## Find your existing links

1. [Open the app](https://app.agentlinkops.com/) and choose your website. If it is not listed, add it through the website picker when your role allows it.
2. Open **Find backlinks** and choose **Find my backlinks**. Home can also offer this starting action.
3. Read the lookup's estimate and any confirmation shown for your workspace. On the shared-credit policy, the lookup includes its initial verification; selected links have their own monitoring schedule afterward.
4. Wait for the saved search to finish. You can leave the page and return to its progress and results.

A recent saved search can reopen without buying another lookup. **New search** requests fresh work. Adding a website alone does not mean its backlinks have been retrieved or that monitoring has started.

If the action is unavailable, check your website selection, workspace access and [capability status](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/capability-status.md). You can also [import a backlink export](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/import-and-verify.md). Connected Bing Webmaster Tools can supply saved backlinks through the app when that connection is available.

## Understand where the links come from

Results come from a third-party backlink index that has already collected links. They can arrive without scanning your site, but cover only part of the web and carry source dates.

The counts answer different questions:

* **Indexed links:** what the supplier reports for the website.
* **Retrieved links:** the records this search saved for you to inspect.
* **Checked links:** pages AgentLinkOps checked, with their own time and outcome.
* **Monitored links:** the placements you chose to keep checking over time.

Use the completed page check, matched target and time to judge whether a link is live. A supplier status can be older. Blocked checks stay unknown; missing search results do not prove loss.

## Choose what to monitor

The app preselects live links and leaves likely spam unticked. Review pages, link text and scores, then untick unwanted rows. Scores and URL patterns are review signals, not proof of quality or a reason to disavow automatically.

Choose **Monitor all N links** for the current preset selection, or **Monitor N links** after choosing individual rows. Read the count and any plan-room confirmation before proceeding. Unselected rows stay search results. Added links appear in **Links** and follow their monitoring schedule; a suitable recent check can be retained, otherwise the first check is queued.

Already paused links keep their paused status. Links that do not fit your plan are not added later automatically. [Monitoring changes](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/monitor-changes.md) explains what happens after you start watching placements.

## Ask your agent to review the results

[Connect your agent](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/quickstart.md), then give it the saved search rather than asking for another lookup:

```text theme={null}
Review the saved backlink search for [my website].
Read every page of the saved results, keeping source URLs and retrieval/check dates.
Separate indexed records, completed page checks and links already monitored.
Group the publisher sites and destination pages. Flag repeated URL patterns,
missing evidence and possible outreach or reclamation opportunities with reasons.
Recommend which links to monitor. Ask before starting another lookup,
adding recurring monitoring or changing a disavow decision.
```

> **Command sequence for a new lookup**
>
> For a new agent-led lookup, use [prepare\_domain\_baseline](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/reference/commands/prepare_domain_baseline.md) to read the offer or saved run. After the user's decision, [start\_domain\_baseline](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/reference/commands/start_domain_baseline.md) starts the prepared work with explicit consent and a stable retry key. Read progress with [get\_domain\_baseline](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/reference/commands/get_domain_baseline.md) and page through [list\_domain\_baseline\_candidates](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/reference/commands/list_domain_baseline_candidates.md). Reuse the original identifiers after a lost response.

## Continue the analysis

* [Analyze competitor profiles](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/competitor-research.md) to find publisher sites worth researching.
* [Analyze internal links](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/internal-links.md) to see connections among pages on your own website. A backlink lookup and an internal scan answer different questions.
* [Read reports](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/reports.md) to compare saved website profiles and recorded changes.
* [Run an outreach campaign](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/outreach.md) to manage prospects, contacts and outcomes with your agent.
