# Get started in the app

> Choose a website, monitor a known backlink, read the completed evidence and organize your saved links in AgentLinkOps.

[Open AgentLinkOps](https://app.agentlinkops.com/) and sign in with an account that has workspace access. Hosted access currently requires pilot eligibility. You can [check one link without an account](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/first-result.md) before joining.

## Choose your website

Select the workspace, then use the website picker to choose the site receiving your backlinks. If you have permission to add a website, choose **Add website** and enter its details. A project in the API is a website in the app.

Your selected website determines which links, reports and competitor lookups you see. Check it before adding records or starting a paid lookup.

## Start with a link you know

If you only want to check a page once, use the [public backlink checker](https://agentlinkops.com/tools/backlink-checker/) or the [local check](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/first-result.md). Neither step creates a recurring watch.

To keep checking a placement:

1. Open **Links** and choose **Add link**.
2. Enter **Page with the link**, the publisher URL, and **Your page it links to**, the destination on your website.
3. Review the monitoring schedule and allowance shown before confirming. The app checks the page and keeps checking on that schedule.
4. Open the saved link and read its completed observation. A queued or running check has no final result yet.

If you already have a supplier export, use [Import links](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/import-and-verify.md) instead. Importing a candidate and verifying a live link are separate steps.

## Read the evidence

A live result describes the page as fetched at the recorded time. Read the matched destination, anchor text and link attributes. **Unknown** means the check could not establish presence or absence; it does not mean the link was lost. [Evidence states](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/evidence.md) explains confirmed loss and retained evidence.

Index scores have their own retrieval dates. **Domain strength**, **Spam risk** and **Page strength** describe supplier measurements, not the time AgentLinkOps checked the placement. Missing scores remain **Unavailable**.

Choose **Link type** and **Tags** when those labels help you organize a saved link. Customer accounts use manual choices. [Link types](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/link-classification.md) explains the available controls and how older assessment evidence can appear.

## Pick your next task

* Use [Reports](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/reports.md) to inspect recorded changes and save a dated profile.
* Use [Competitors](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/competitor-research.md) to review a supplier lookup, its price and coverage before starting it.
* Keep prospects and private contacts in AgentLinkOps, then follow [Outreach](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/outreach.md) to send from your own mailbox or sender. AgentLinkOps does not send outreach email.
* Open **Agent access** when you want to [connect an agent](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/quickstart.md) or [use the CLI](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/connect-cli.md). Neither is required to use the app.

The workspace menu's **Help and docs** returns to [the task index](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/introduction.md). [Capability status](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/capability-status.md) and [Troubleshooting](https://docs.agentlinkops.com/guides/troubleshooting.md) cover unavailable features and access problems.
