# Get explicit review checkpoint

> Read the latest explicit human review checkpoint for one authorized project.

`get_link_review_checkpoint`

Read the latest explicit human review checkpoint for one authorized project. Includes the exact held artifact, sequence and retained-history gaps. Reading or copying never completes a review or changes monitoring.

<Note>Development preview. This command is absent from the verified deployed bundle. Use a matching development environment.</Note>

| Access | Behavior |
| - | - |
| `events:read` | Reads saved data |

This read does not start a verification job.

## Example request

Connect through [MCP](/guides/connect-mcp), [CLI](/guides/connect-cli), or [HTTP](/guides/connect-http). Replace example identifiers with records from your workspace.

<CodeGroup>
  ```json MCP theme={null}
  {
    "jsonrpc": "2.0",
    "id": 1,
    "method": "tools/call",
    "params": {
      "name": "get_link_review_checkpoint",
      "arguments": {
        "projectId": "pr_example"
      }
    }
  }
  ```

  ```bash CLI theme={null}
  agentlinkops call get_link_review_checkpoint --args '{"projectId":"pr_example"}'
  ```

  ```bash HTTP theme={null}
  curl "$AGENTLINKOPS_API_URL/v1/commands/get_link_review_checkpoint" \
    -H "Authorization: Bearer $AGENTLINKOPS_API_KEY" \
    -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
    --data '{"projectId":"pr_example"}'
  ```
</CodeGroup>

## Returned result

Illustrative data validated against the documented response schema. IDs and dates are examples, not a live account capture. MCP returns this data in `structuredContent` and in a text content block; generic HTTP and CLI return the JSON result directly.

```json theme={null}
{
  "schema_version": 1,
  "checkpoint": null
}
```

## Input fields

Omit optional fields when you do not want to supply them. Null is accepted only where listed. Unknown input properties are rejected.

| Field | Type | Presence | Meaning and constraints |
| - | - | - | - |
| `projectId` | string | Required | Identifier of the project returned by its create or list operation. pattern: "^\[a-zA-Z0-9\_-]\{1,128}\$" |

### Validation and omitted values

projectId is required and must be accessible to the current workspace principal with events:read.

This capability is disabled by default; LINK\_REVIEW\_DISABLED refuses before checkpoint access. It requires separately reviewed migrations and runtime activation.

checkpoint is null before an explicit human completion. Otherwise it retains the greatest acknowledged sequence and exact held artifact digest, completion time and incomplete-history flags. Reading, copying or preparing a review never completes one.

A human acknowledgment does not resolve retained-history gaps or claim link recovery. Later events remain unreviewed.

## Output fields

Fields inside optional or nullable parents apply only when that parent exists. [Common schema conventions](/reference/schemas) explain evidence states, empty lists and extensions.

| Field | Type | Presence | Meaning and constraints |
| - | - | - | - |
| `schema_version` | number | Required | must equal 1 |
| `checkpoint` | object / null | Required | |
| `checkpoint.artifact_id` | string | Required | Identifier returned by the related operation. pattern: "^\[a-zA-Z0-9\_-]\{1,128}\$" |
| `checkpoint.workspace_id` | string | Required | Workspace that owns this record. minLength: 1; maxLength: 128 |
| `checkpoint.project_id` | string | Required | Project that owns this record. minLength: 1; maxLength: 128 |
| `checkpoint.sha256` | string | Required | pattern: "^\[a-f0-9]\{64}\$" |
| `checkpoint.through_sequence` | integer | Required | minimum: 0; maximum: 9007199254740991 |
| `checkpoint.completed_at` | string | Required | |
| `checkpoint.coverage` | object | Required | Dataset scope and completeness, including limits on what these results establish. additional fields rejected |
| `checkpoint.coverage.complete` | boolean | Required | |
| `checkpoint.coverage.truncated` | boolean | Required | |
| `checkpoint.coverage.scan_limited` | boolean | Required | |
| `checkpoint.coverage.retention_limited` | boolean | Required | |

## Errors and retries

The command is annotated idempotent. Reuse an accepted idempotency key when the input provides one; changing the payload under a reused key can conflict. Operation-specific errors include `INVALID_INPUT`, `LINK_REVIEW_DISABLED`, `PROJECT_NOT_FOUND`, `WORKSPACE_ACCESS_DENIED`, `INSUFFICIENT_SCOPE`.

See [error recovery](/reference/errors) for status, scope, cooldown, cursor and retry handling. Unknown observations are result data and do not establish loss.

## HTTP resource routes

These existing resource routes share the operation’s domain behavior. Their parameter placement, status and response envelope can differ from generic invocation. See [HTTP route details](/reference/http/routes).

| Method and route | Success | Details |
| - | - | - |
| `GET /v1/link-review/checkpoint` | 200 | Requires accessible projectId; reads the latest explicit human checkpoint and retained-history gaps. Disabled by default. |
