# linktrail fmt

> Format the ledger consistently.

linktrail fmt
```

## Behavior and output

Refuses to rewrite a ledger with malformed lines. Uses the ledger mutation lock and prints whether formatting changed.

## Arguments

No command-specific options.

## Exit status

0 on success; 2 on usage, configuration, input or request failure.
