get_link_watch Inspect a monitored placement, its expectations and check_status: each check stage’s latest evidence date, freshness, refresh mode and blocking reason, plus the latest check_link_watch run.
Name recorded in the 2026-10-17 deployment. This page describes current source; verify inputs and access in your connected catalog. Provider configuration and workspace access still apply.
This read does not start a verification job.

Example request

Connect through MCP, CLI, or HTTP. Replace example identifiers with records from your workspace.

Returned result

Schema-validated example; IDs and dates are illustrative. MCP returns this data in structuredContent and in a text content block; generic HTTP and CLI return the JSON result directly.

Input fields

Omit optional fields when you do not want to supply them. Null is accepted only where listed. Unknown input properties are rejected.

Validation and omitted values

Latest attempts and last complete observations can have different dates. A blocked attempt cannot erase or confirm the last known evidence. chosen_category records team intent. page_assessment records retained page evidence; display_category resolves the category shown in the table. Reading the record starts no classification. page_assessment.applicability distinguishes current evidence from previous, expired or unavailable evidence. A saved suggestion remains provisional; viewing it does not approve it. check_status gives one read of every check stage: link, destination, link_type, google and authority. Each stage has its own state (checked, stale, running, failed, not_checked, unavailable, not_applicable), checked_at, result, reason and refresh (automatic, with_check, not_refreshed, none). A stage without its own evidence is never checked; a Google not_found_in_site_query result is not a not-indexed result. monitoring.mode separates monitored, paused, not_monitored (a backlink-search candidate) and removed. last_run is the newest check_link_watch run with its component states and dates.

Output fields

Fields inside optional or nullable parents apply only when that parent exists. Common schema conventions explain evidence states, empty lists and extensions.
  • intent (string, optional).
  • outreachStatus (string / null, optional).
  • lastContactedAt (string / null, optional).
  • campaign (string / null, optional).
  • id (string, required): Resource identifier returned by the operation.
  • workspace_id (string, required): Workspace that owns this record.
  • project_id (string, required): Project that owns this record.
  • status (string, required): Resource lifecycle status.
  • cadence_seconds (number, required): Configured check interval in seconds. Scheduling and admission can delay completion.
  • state (string, required): Saved lifecycle or evidence state, as enumerated for this record.
  • observation_state (object, required): Saved observation state. Before the first check, this object can be empty.
  • created_at (string, required): UTC timestamp when the record was created.
  • updated_at (string, required): UTC timestamp of the last record update.
  • last_attempt_at (string / null, required): UTC timestamp of the latest saved attempt, including an inconclusive attempt; null before any attempt.
  • last_success_at (string / null, required): UTC timestamp of the latest complete, conclusive observation; null before one exists. This does not mean the link was present.
  • last_observation_id (string / null, required): Identifier returned by the related operation.
  • next_check_at (string / null, required): Saved scheduling eligibility time in UTC, not a promised completion time. Read status before treating it as an active schedule.
  • overdue_reason (string / null, required): Recorded scheduling or admission delay; null when no delay reason is saved.
  • google_crawlable (boolean / null, optional): Googlebot robots.txt permission on the latest checked source and observed redirect hops: true allowed, false blocked, null unknown. Does not establish Google indexing, page availability or ranking.
  • google_crawl_reason (string / null, optional): Recorded Googlebot robots permission or why that permission is unknown. Separate from permission for AgentLinkOps monitoring.
  • robots_rule (string / null, optional): Publisher robots.txt path rule supporting the current Googlebot decision, or null when no matching rule was observed.
  • noindex (boolean / null, optional): Whether the most recently completely read page told Googlebot not to index it. Null means not observed; check page_observed_at for retained older evidence.
  • page_nofollow (boolean / null, optional): Whether the most recently completely read page told Googlebot not to follow its links. Independent of individual link rel attributes; null means not observed.
  • link_rel (array / null, optional): Sorted union of rel attributes on directly observed matching link occurrences. An empty array is an observed ordinary link; null means no current or retained link attributes were observed.
  • can_verify_reason (string / null, optional): Why the latest check could not verify link presence or absence. Null means that check completed; not_checked means no check is retained.
  • last_verified_at (string / null, optional): Original timestamp of the most recent complete link presence or absence check. It stays unchanged after a blocked or incomplete check.
  • crawlability_provenance (object, optional): Original saved check times and observation IDs for robots permission, page directives and link attributes. Retained page/link facts can predate the latest robots check.
  • category_contract (string, optional): Version of the shared table, API and export category projection.
  • chosen_category (object, optional): The saved choice and recorded account attribution. Cleared keeps the type empty; automatic permits eligible existing page evidence to supply the displayed category. Neither action reviews or starts AI work.
  • page_assessment (object, optional): What retained page evidence says about link occurrences. Applicability separates current, previous, expired and unavailable evidence. Suggested is provisional; accepted_manual requires a recorded review; accepted_auto requires a qualified saved policy.
  • display_category (object, optional): The category shown in the everyday table. A deliberate saved choice takes precedence. Otherwise page evidence supplies a category or Mixed types, with its evidence state. Read the reason when no category is available.
  • source_url (string, required): Publisher page URL recorded in this evidence.
  • target_url (string, required): Destination URL recorded in this evidence.
  • target_scope (string, required).
  • expected_anchor (string / null, required).
  • expected_rel (array / null, required).
  • local_reference (string / null, required): Customer reference for joining this record to a local ledger entry.
  • last_successful_observation_id (string / null, required): Identifier returned by the related operation.
  • history_compacted_before (string / null, optional): Retention cutoff for compacted history; null when no cutoff is recorded. It does not establish that no earlier observations existed.
  • archived_at (string / null, optional).
  • provider_metrics (object / object / object, optional).
  • provider_metrics_retrieved_at (string / null, optional).
  • provider_metrics_data_mode (string, optional).
  • initial_check (object, optional).
  • check_operation (object, optional).
  • check_status (object / null, optional).
  • candidate_only (number, optional).
  • created (boolean, optional): True when this request created the record; false when an existing record was reused.
  • detail (string, optional).
  • type (string, null, optional): Saved compatibility type on enriched watch records; null when empty. Prefer display_category for the category shown in the table and page_assessment for currentness. A saved model type alone does not prove a current assessment. Reading or checking a link does not classify it. Deployments without label tables omit this field; concise list rows omit it too.
  • type_source (string, null, optional): Who supplied the saved compatibility value: person includes a team choice or deliberate clear; model identifies a saved model type. A null value can accompany automatic display; read chosen_category.intent for the team intent. Classification updates preserve team choices and clears. Deployments without label tables and concise list rows omit this field.
  • type_revision (integer, optional): Saved compatibility label revision; zero when no label record exists. Use chosen_category.revision for set_link_type conflict checks. Deployments without label tables and concise list rows omit this field.
  • tags (array, optional): Active workspace tags attached to this watch, ordered by name; an empty array means the watch has no active tags. Tags remain separate from the chosen category and page assessment. Checking a link does not add tags. Deployments without label tables and concise list rows omit this field.
  • disavow (string, null, optional): Saved rule coverage for this source: active for an approved rule, proposed for a suggestion, or null when no rule covers it or rule metadata is unavailable. An active rule takes precedence over a proposed rule. Concise list rows omit this field; reading this coverage does not submit a disavow file to Google.

Errors and retries

Follow the error recovery before retrying this read. Preserve the selected workspace, project, filters and feed. Recovering a read does not require an idempotency key or another verification job. See error recovery for status, scope, cooldown, cursor and retry handling. Unknown observations are result data and do not establish loss.

HTTP resource routes

These existing resource routes share the operation’s domain behavior. Their parameter placement, status and response envelope can differ from generic invocation. See HTTP route details.
