Response formats

format selects the row shape. detailed is the example above: every field. concise keeps, per row: id, workspace_id, project_id, source_url, target_url, status, state, observation_state, next_check_at, local_reference, intent, outreachStatus, lastContactedAt, campaign, category_contract, chosen_category, page_assessment, display_category; every top-level field (cursors, counts, coverage, metadata) is kept in both. The observation state an unknown-versus-absent decision depends on is never dropped. MCP and code mode default to concise; the CLI and HTTP default to detailed; the response names the default it applied in defaults_applied.

Validation and omitted values

Omit cursor for the first page. Keep continuation cursors opaque and use them only with the same listing and filters. Omitting projectId reads the accessible workspace scope rather than selecting a different project. Pages are ordered by creation time, then identifier, ascending. Omitted q, state and status apply no corresponding filter. Search matches the source or target URL case-insensitively. include=detail returns the fuller record. state also accepts live, missing, couldnt_check, paused and not_checked_yet using the same status mapping as get_link_summary. Paused wins; not_checked_yet requires no saved attempt and current unknown state; live maps present or changed; missing maps confirmed_missing; other active states map couldnt_check. rechecking selects couldnt_check records whose current verification state is suspected_missing; cant_reach selects the remaining couldnt_check records. These filters partition couldnt_check; they neither queue a check nor confirm loss. cant_reach_lasting selects cant_reach records whose current run began at or before the seven-day cutoff, rounded down to the hour. It uses the same rule as list_tasks for its cant_reach_lasting task. Other state strings filter the current verification state, and returned rows retain their verification state. Links a backlink search found and checked once (candidate_only 1) are not monitored and are left out of every listing and export by default, as get_link_summary leaves them out; state=not_monitored lists exactly them. status independently selects active or paused. category filters the displayed category by default (categoryScope=shown). A team choice or deliberate clear takes precedence over the page assessment. Set categoryScope=page_role to match any assessed occurrence role, including a role within Mixed types. This scope rejects guest_post and cleared. assessmentScope defaults to current for AI evidence. Set it to previous to inspect retained assessments whose page evidence is no longer current. With categoryScope=shown and a supplied category, previous scope selects AI evidence and excludes team choices. Page-role filters always use the selected evidence scope. categoryState accepts cleared, not_started, pending, partial, classifier_failed, classifier_unavailable, page_unavailable or previous. Check the returned assessment reason and applicability. Category state and link presence remain separate facts. Category filters apply before counts and pagination. Keep category, category state, evidence scope and all other filters unchanged when continuing with a cursor. Detailed and concise list rows preserve category_contract, chosen_category, page_assessment and display_category. Reading these fields does not classify the page. The legacy type field holds the saved compatibility value.
